With Brett Kavanaugh likely on his way to a confirmation for the Supreme Court today, you may be having a more angry Saturday than usual. I’m not good at talking politics, but I do know this country needs to get better at listening to women and believing them.

I can’t handle refreshing the news all day, so instead I’m immersing myself in great music by female and female-identifying artists, taken from these two great lists that NPR created:

The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women
The 200 Greatest Songs By 21st Century Women+

If you want to listen to a totally biased selection of my favorites from these lists, please enjoy this giant Spotify playlist:

I like playing it on shuffle because you might get a fun experience like hearing Madonna, Portishead, Dolly Parton, and Missy Elliot all in a row. The list has 384 songs at the moment, so it’s a fun surprise every time.

Listen to this music, and especially listen to the women in your life. Even better: take your listening ears and voting hands (and voting brains too, I guess?) to the polls on November 6th and vote for candidates who also listen to and support women!
